Frank Cumberland

Frank Cumberland comes from a long line of Washingtonians.  His father (Frank Sr.) played baseball at Central High School and Western Maryland College in the early 1930s, and also played semi-pro football for the Washington Presidents in the mid-1930s.

Frank (Jr.) served in the US Air Force from 1977-2002, and has stated that life gave him two great missions, "the mission of the US Air Force, and the mission of returning baseball to Washington."  He has written about the return of baseball to Washington in the Washington Times, the Washington Post, and the FANATSTIC fan weblog.

Frank takes full personal credit for the return of baseball to Washington, and for the success of the Nationals.
